Session 2015-2016

The HKU Reading Study Project is looking for caring and committed student helpers to help with data collection in primary schools and other research activities.

 

1) Attending a one-time training/briefing session
2) Signing up for at least 5 data collection days (3 hours each)

3) Interacting with young children
4) Collecting data on children’s literacy skills

 

Period of time: From late June to early July, 2016

 

Eligibility:

1) Native Cantonese speakers and fluent Chinese readers
2) Responsible, caring and committed students
3) Interested in working with children and understanding Educational Psychology
4) Prefer: Major in Psychology/ Speech and Hearing Sciences/ Education/ Linguistics or any other related disciplines

 

Gain:

1) Student volunteer participation certificate
2) Outstanding helper award for excellent and responsible helpers 3) First-hand experiences in education-related research projects
